Junior Accountant


  • General data entry

  • File invoices, expenses and contracts

  • Prepare customer invoices

  • Perform accounts receivable functions including monthly rent collections

  • Perform accounts payable functions - enter P.O, invoices in Quickbooks and prepare weekly Cheque run.

  • Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable

  • Maintain general ledgers

  • Prepare and Post journal entries

  • Reconcile and balance accounts

  • Process bank deposits

  • Maintain daily cash flow analysis

  • Provide additional administrative support to management as required

  • Outside office – pick up at suppliers, bank deposits, office supplies.

  • Other duties as required


  • Canadian post-secondary education - Accounting or business related field

  • Understanding of financial reporting

  • Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks, solid computer Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills

  • Strong people and communication skills

  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Initiative to continuously learn and expand on existing skill set


  • 1-3 years of relevant office experience

  • 3 Years Bookkeeping/Admin knowledge and experience preferred

  • Minimum 1 Year of Quickbooks preferred

  • Real Estate development or property management industry experience preferred

  • G Driver Licence preferred
